Soft coffee with a chocolate profile, good sweetness and a light note of orange peel on the aftertaste

Vietnam Da Lat Coffee in a cup

Vietnam Da Lat coffee is dense, with good saturation and balance of taste. The cup has hints of cocoa, walnut and a light citrus sourness. Woody notes appear on cooling. Coffee shows itself well in automatic and carob coffee machines, and it can also be prepared in a Turk, French press and mock. This is a good example of coffee for every day. We offer this coffee in roasting above average.

Geography

Vietnam Da Lat Coffee is located in Lam Dong Province, the Central Highlands of Vietnam. In total, coffee is grown in Lamdong on a total area of about 155.5 thousand hectares. Robusta is grown mainly in the municipality of Bao Loc and the counties of Ducchong, Lamha, Bao Lam and Zilin. Arabica — in the municipality of Dalat and Lakzyong County, where the heights range from 1400 to 1600 meters above sea level.

In the past, a variety of bourbon was grown in Da Lat, but it turned out to be unstable to diseases and was subsequently replaced by katimor, more resistant to drought, diseases and pests.

Climate

The soils and climate of this region are well suited for growing coffee. There is a big difference in daytime and nighttime temperatures, which always has a positive effect on the development of coffee beans and the formation of the necessary set of acids. The soil and the environment are protected and maintained.

The area is surrounded by coffee farms. Farmers live in small houses and work in groups, helping each other. Coffee is the main source of income for many.

Picking berries

Vietnam Da Lat coffee harvest is harvested from October to mid-January. During this time, each coffee tree is approached up to four times. Trees are pruned all year round, especially actively done immediately after harvest. Most coffee trees grow in the shade of other trees, persimmons are often used, which not only creates shade, but also provides an additional source of income. The soils are basalt. The average temperature for the year is 17-19 degrees Celsius, there is a large difference between night and daytime temperatures — with the onset of dusk, the temperature begins to fall rapidly. It rains from April to October, and it rains in February.

How to store?

In branded, tightly closed packaging at room temperature. Avoid contact with light, heat and moisture. Short-term storage in a glass or ceramic jar with a tightly closed lid is allowed. Sealed (unopened) packaging is recommended to be stored in the freezer at a temperature of -18℃

Do not store coffee in the refrigerator: low cooling temperature, foreign odors and possible condensation will quickly spoil the coffee!
